wip 2025: full of myself

We shouldn'T need to conform to SOCIAL standards to deserve care, yet we measure ourselves against impossible ideals. Just as we shape our identities through external perception, we assign meaning to the things we consume, turning them into reflections of who we are.

In "Full of Myself" , I examine the aesthetics and status tied to what we consume—food, medication and water alongside the influence of social media, entertainment, and television. These elements are more than necessities; they become symbols of identity and self-worth, shaped by the values and expectations of contemporary society. Drawing on Nietzsche’s notion that “Your morals have an aesthetic criterion,” I explore how the things we consume transcend survival, reflecting our desires, anxieties, and sense of belonging.

Through humor and surrealism, I highlight the absurdity of consumption as self-definition, blurring the lines between human and object. Just as we mold ourselves around external validation, we also elevate objects—assigning them meaning, longing, and even power. By merging bodies with the spaces and things they inhabit, I examine how we assign value not only to what we consume but to ourselves in the process.
